In a real sense, Acts is a book for the renewal of the church. It calls the postmodern church back to its roots—to the early church in the upper room in its undivided devotion to prayer, to its evangelistic fervour and redemptive passion, to its fellowship and sharing, its mutual trust and unity.
It challenges us to open our hearts to the power of the Spirit so that we might be faithful witnesses to the Word and experience its triumph in our own time.
