Kids

Ages 1 - 10

Our purpose is to see our children grow in the knowledge and love of God

At Renovation church, your child will experience personal care from our well-staffed team. We keep our nursery rooms ready for your little ones with age-appropriate toys that are thoroughly cleaned between services.

We know babies have specific needs and schedules, so when you bring your child to the classroom, we will ensure we do our best to meet their needs. We provide diapers and a snack for each child, but please feel free to bring your own. We also take time to love and pray for your child each week. We desire for your little one to grow in the knowledge and love of God by experiencing Him in a safe, bright, loving environment.

Ages: 3 months – 2 years old

Toddlers
Toddlers

Two year-olds are tricky! For this age group, we create plenty of space for fun, while also sharing a simple story and praying together each week. We provide diapers and a simple selection of age-appropriate snacks for each child, but please feel free to bring your own. The room is formatted for children in a wide range of developmental phases. At this stage, we desire for your little one to grow in the knowledge and love of God by discovering that “God made me, He loves me and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.”

Ages: 2 -3 years old

Pre-K
Pre-K

For our Pre-K kids, we structure our time to maximize learning and fun. We take a bit more time to teach the week’s story, and we sing and pray together as well. We also provide age-appropriate snacks for each child. In Pre-K, we desire for each child to grow in the knowledge and love of God by discovering that “Jesus is at the center of God’s great story of salvation–and at the center of my story too.”

Ages: 3 – 5 years old

Elementary
Elementary

In the Elementary room, we structure our time for robust learning and relationship building. The children enjoy a lesson and also break into smaller groups to discuss. They have the opportunity to participate in worship together in the sanctuary. We provide snacks for each child, and the room is stocked with fun toys and activities. In Elementary, we desire for each child to grow in the knowledge and love of God by learning how to make wiser choices, build stronger relationships and develop a deeper faith.

FAQ

Checking In

For a child to be checked in, a “child sticker” and corresponding “parent check” with the child’s name and barcode will be printed. During dismissal, a parent or guardian will provide the corresponding “child check” to our workers in the room. If it is your first time, we’ll also write down your phone number and email so we can contact you during the service if needed, and feel free to check in with us as well! Check in for the 10:00am service opens at 9:35am and closes at 10:20am. For the 11:30am service, check in opens at 11:05am and closes at 12:00pm.

How We Operate

Relationship is important! Our team members work in the same rooms each time they are scheduled, so your children get to spend time with the same, small group of teachers each week. There are at least two workers in the room at all times, regardless of the number of children present, and all of our team members complete background checks before joining. Our room caps are determined by established room size and worker-to-child ratios in order to maintain a consistent, joyful and safe environment each week. We use the “Orange Curriculum,” which is formatted in monthly series comprised of self-contained lessons. This means no matter when your child joins, they won’t feel lost. Our online lessons are coordinated with the in-room content each week and are available for you to watch any time. We like to use them as a midweek review, regardless of in-person attendance.

What to Bring

For the younger children, you can bring a diaper bag with diapers, preferred snacks and a change of clothes if you would like. We also have diapers of all sizes stocked and provide a few snack options as well. There is a little, gated playground located immediately outside for the Pre-K and Toddler rooms to use, so keep that in mind as you dress them. We keep the Nursery kids in the room. The older kids don’t need to bring anything! We provide a little snack and water each week. If you choose to send a snack, no nuts are allowed. If your child has any allergies, let our check-in worker know, and we’ll have it notated in the database.
